Lori Bassett has always loved helping children since high school many years ago. She previously had a state and federal-run daycare & preschool in her home for 15 years. She has attended universities and state classes to study child development and now studies dyslexia. She is passionate about helping children who do not have a voice to help themselves. She has helped in Girl & Boy Scouts. Lori is currently a booster mom in the Pine View Air Force JROTC, and run the Panther Pit Stop, their largest fundraiser of the year. She opened Reading Lab & Dyslexia Center one year ago to help children learn to read, spell, and write better. She has been helping students in the WCSD as a volunteer for 20 years. She is part of Decoding Dyslexia UT, International Dyslexia Association, and the International Literacy Association.
