Meet the Chamber at The DiFiore Center
“Meet The DiFiore Center @ The Hafen Home on Mount Hope”
The Hafen Home on Mount Hope, a St. George Historical Landmark, was built in 1952 and designed by Cedar City architect L. Robert Gardner. Orval Hafen practiced law, was President of the Utah State Bar Association in 1943, Utah State Senator for 12 years and Senate President in 1959. In the 1950s, when the state could no longer maintain Dixie College, Orval Hafen cosponsored legislation to continue ownership.
The Roene B. DiFiore Center for Arts and Education has been established for the development of arts and education as a hub for the Southern Utah creative community. The DiFiore Center, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, is focused on preserving human connection. All funding for the center is donation-based, and 100% of the donations go to programs and operations.
