Meet the Chamber at St. George Musical Theatre
Meet the Chamber at St. George Musical Theatre!
St. George Musical Theater is southern Utah's oldest and most successful community theater and recently returned after a five year absence with a very successful first "comeback" season that featured "The Sound of Music, "The Odd Couple, " "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels," and "The Music Man." They also hosted sold out performances of recording artist Mindy Gledhill and a Christmas concert with popular local musician Eric Dodge. After only one season, SGMT was voted in the Spectrum's reader's poll the second best live theater in southern Utah right behind Tuacahn Theater. Their performances are in-the-round in the historic Opera House and their new season opens Aug. 13 with the musical classic "West Side Story." Their leadership team includes Bruce Bennett as Executive Director, Debe Jacobs as Artistic Director and Dan Olsen as Managing Director. SGMT is a 501(c) 3 non-profit community theater that is primarily volunteer based with no paid performers.
