Kayenta Street Festival

The Kayenta Street Painting Festival is a fundraiser for the Kayenta Arts Foundation. In 2013 our festival takes place April 13-14 once again in the beautiful streets of the Coyote Gulch Art Village in the Kayenta Desert Community. Held annually, this is a full weekend event that brings students and professional artists together to create a colorful chalk explosion. With the asphalt as a canvas and chalk as the medium, large painted murals will unfold at the feet of the spectators. Come on Saturday morning, the first day, to see the early sketches of the works and see the student competition. Come back Sunday to see local professional artists complete their masterpieces. This is a great opportunity that brings business community together with artists and students for an amazing collaborative event.
