Jubilee of Trees Luncheon
Bring your staff and kick off the holiday season by hearing about some of the amazing things happening with healthcare here in Southern Utah. Hear directly from the doctors themselves, their experiences, hopes and patient success stories. This luncheon kicks off the Jubilee of Trees Festival. Make sure to stay after the luncheon, take a tour of the trees and feel the holiday spirit.
In 2015 our key initiative is the Advancement of Trauma Care and Neurosciences in Southern Utah. Dixie Regional Medical Center is currently in the process of elevating its trauma services from a Level III to Level II Trauma Center. A trauma center is more than an emergency department, and offers a verified hospital facility capable of specialized treatment for the most critical injuries. The Level II designation includes 24-hour immediate coverage by general surgeons, as well as coverage by the specialties of orthopedic surgery, neurosurgery, anesthesiology, emergency medicine, radiology and critical care. With the addition of neurosurgery and a neurosurgeon available 24/7, Dixie Regional Medical Center attains the full arsenal of highly trained specialists necessary for a Trauma II Center. The time from injury to highly specialized trauma hospital care is critical in saving lives and decreasing disabilities, and trauma centers provide the increasing level of care that can make the difference between life and death.
