St. George, Utah is located in the Southwest corner of Utah, 2,000 feet above sea level offering breathtaking views of the surrounding canyons as well as a warm climate for an early season IRONMAN 70.3 distance race.
St. George is only a short 45 minute drive to Mt. Zion National Park, Utah’s most popular national park with educational tours and miles of scenic hiking. St. George also offers a walkable downtown area with great local fare, boutique shopping, and parks to allow spectators and athletes to enjoy the perfect spring weather. On the opposite end of the spectrum St. George is only two hours from the exciting nightlife of Las Vegas, with endless entertainment options for adults and children.
The swim will be held at Sand Hollow Reservoir and the bike and run course offers spectacular views of downtown St. George, Snow Canyon and Red Cliffs Desert Reserve.
There are 75 qualifying slots for the IRONMAN World Championship 70.3 in Lake Las Vegas, Henderson, NV.
IRONMAN 70.3 St. George is also a Regional IRONMAN TriClub Championship race. In addition to club “members only” special on site events, athletes who are a members of a TriClub or Team, earn bonus points for their club towards the prestigious IRONMAN TriClub Annual Podium Award.
