Free Shred Day
Security Service Federal Credit Union will host a free area shred day on Saturday, April 18.
The event is designed to assist area residents with the safe and free disposal of unwanted, personal documents.
“In this day and age, everyone should do what they can to protect themselves from identity theft,” said Greg Reed, vice president of member service in Utah. “Free shred days allow folks to permanently and securely get rid of documents containing sensitive information like bank and credit card statements, old tax returns or documents containing account numbers, Social Security numbers, or other identifiable information.”
People can drive up and drop off bags and boxes of paper for shredding only. Limit two 18”x20”x12” full boxes per household. Volunteers from Security Service will help with unloading, and all documents will be shredded on site by Cintas.
