Dixie Techs Meeting
Dr. Lincoln Nadauld, Director of Cancer Genomics at Intermountain Healthcare will address the March 7 Tech Friday meeting of the Dixie Technical Association.
Dr. Nadauld received a Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology from Brigham Young University. He went on to complete medical and doctoral degrees (MD/PhD) followed by clinical training at the University of Utah. His doctoral dissertation focused on the molecular genetics of colon cancer. He completed clinical training in Medical Oncology at Stanford University where he also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in solid tumor genomics in the laboratory of Dr. Calvin Kuo.
Dr. Nadauld then remained on faculty at the Stanford School of Medicine focusing on cancer genomics and personalized cancer medicine. While retaining an adjunct faculty position at Stanford, Dr. Nadauld was recently appointed Director of Cancer Genomics at Intermountain Healthcare, an integrated healthcare system of more than 20 hospitals and 150 clinics, where he is leading the clinical implementation of genomic-based cancer medicine. He is currently based in St. George.
“We are fortunate to have Dr. Nadauld in southern Utah, and we look forward to having him speak to the Techs,” Joshua Aikens, Dixie Techs chair, said. “It will be interesting, not only to hear him talk about his cutting edge technology, but also hear about his experiences with the big venture capital firms in Silicon Valley.”
