Dixie State University’s weekly noontime “Dixie Forum: A Window on the World” forum continues its 2014 Spring Semester discussion series this Tuesday, February 25, with a discussion on advances in trauma care by Dixie Regional Medical Center (DRMC) Trauma Medical Director Dr. Greg Watson and registered nurse Kimberly Phillips.
In addition to his role as Trauma Medical Director, Dr. Watson is one of five trauma surgeons at DRMC. Both he and Phillips will speak about the work they do and what makes Dixie Regional Medical Center unique in treating patients with traumatic injuries.
The Dixie Forum is a lecture series designed to introduce DSU students, faculty, and the St. George community to diverse ideas and personalities and to widen their world views. Forum lectures are free and open to the general public for participation. Dixie students can earn one college credit by signing up for HUM 1000, attending lectures regularly, carefully considering the ideas expressed, and writing about the presentations.
The weekly Dixie Forum series will continue its 2014 Spring Semester slate on Tuesday, March 4, featuring a presentation entitled “The Billionaires Classroom” by local financial consultant Dana Telford.
