Chamber Training Series featuring Intermountain Healthcare's Steve Terry
From Crazy Kids to Old Timers:
The Challenges and Advantages of Four Generations in the Workplace
The traditional workplace has always had multiple generations working side by side: the fresh-faced generation of newcomers, reporting to an established middle generation that holds most management roles, who works for the older generation of senior executives who are 30 or 40 years into their careers. The modern workplace is now becoming even more generationally complex, with the older generations working past traditional retirement age and the younger generations leveraging the power derived from their high-tech skills. In this presentation we will shed light on the reasons why each generation is inclined to do what they do, and will appreciate the unique values, communication styles, and work habits of each demographic group. We will also look ahead at the new psychographic group that is coming; a group that will is transforming the way we reach consumers, do business, lead organizations, and serve society.
