Chamber Inspiration Luncheon Fred Adams
This Wednesday's Inspiration Luncheon will feature Utah Shakespeare Festival Founder and Executive Producer, and Emeritus Director of the Festival Capital Campaign Fred C. Adams. He will be speaking on how the Utah Shakespeare Festival came about, and some of the far reaching goals that have been set. Mr. Adams will also reflect back on the leadership lessons that he has learned over his career with the Utah Shakespeare Festival and will share with the audience some principles that he has learned.
Previously at the Festival: fifty-two years at the Festival as founder, producing director, and executive producer; as Festival Director of the Festival Capital Campaign is raising money and awareness for the Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts
Other Theatres: director of Otello, Utah Opera, 1979; director of The Guardsman, Pioneer Memorial Theatre
Other Credits: director of nineteen of Shakespeare’s plays, plus The Mikado, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Peter Pan; author/adaptor of Peter Pan and The Servant of Two Masters
Awards: Utah Theatre Association's Lifetime Service Award (2000), the Institute of Outdoor Drama's Mark R. Sumner Award (1998), the First Annual Governor's Award in the Arts (1989)
Education: M.F.A., Brigham Young University; doctoral work, the University of Utah; Catholic University; honorary Ph.D., Southern Utah University
