American Red Cross Community Heroes Award Luncheon

Every day, ordinary people make extraordinary contributions by putting their needs aside to help others in our community. The American Red Cross is honored to salute these unsung heroes. Your hero might be a lifeguard who saved a drowning child, an ordinary citizen who performed CPR when a stranger collapsed at a shopping mall, or who saved a neighbor’s beloved pets from a fire.

The awards are presented by the Utah Region of the American Red Cross with the generous support of our sponsors.

Lifetime Achievement
Lee Bracken, Three term Mayor and 30 year EMT of Enterprise

Community Service Hero:  BACA of Southern Utah
Bikers Against Child Abuse that works to create a safe environment for abused kids.

Educator Hero:  Curtis Larson
Teaching hundreds of youth computer science skills

First Responder Hero:  Adam Phillips
Assumes responsibility of a widow whose husband dies after a call

International Hero:  Tim & Penelope Eicher
On a trip to Peru, they saw a need, came home and raised funds, adn went back to Peru to build.
