About Us

Equality Utah Foundation, an IRS 501(c)(3) organization, educates Utahns about issues in the LGBTQ community. The foundation trains LGBTQ Utahns and allies to respond and work proactively for LGBTQ equality. Equality Utah Foundation provides citizen lobby trainings through a coalition of partners, and diversity of inclusion trainings to Utah businesses through our Business Equality Leader program.

Equality Utah, an IRS 501(c)(4) organization, is the state's largest LGBTQ civil rights organization. Equality Utah leads efforts for LGBTQ civil rights at the state and local levels by: sponsoring LGBTQ legislation and opposing negative bills; lobbying elected officials; building coalitions; and empowering individuals and organizations alike to engage in the legislative process. Yearly during the election cycle, Equality Utah publishes a voter guide full of candidates who elect to take our survey on LGBTQ issues, and assigns them a score based on their responses. From that guide, the Equality Utah PAC endorses specific candidates who are champions for equality.

Equality Utah Political Action Committee (EUPAC or PAC), an IRS 527 organization, is a statewide PAC designed to help elect candidates who are champions for equality. The PAC endorses candidates and supports their campaigns with resources and financial contributions. Through the efforts of Equality Utah PAC, we are working to expand the number of fair-minded elected officials in state and local government.
