Acton Academy St. George

About Us

Acton Academy St. George is a learner-driven private school in downtown St. George, Utah, serving Heroes ages 3 to 14. In place of worksheets, lectures and standardized tests, our Learners grow through Socratic discussion, hands-on Quests, real-world projects and self-paced core skills.

We believe every child is a genius waiting to discover a calling that can change the world. Our mixed-age studios are built around that belief:

Spark Studio (Pre-K and Kindergarten, ages 3 to 7): a Montessori-inspired preschool and full-day kindergarten.
Discovery Studio (Elementary, ages 7 to 11): project-based Quests and self-paced math, reading and writing, with Heroes setting their own goals.
Adventure Studio (Middle School, ages 11 to 14): real-world skills, apprenticeships and the courage to do hard things.
LaunchPad Studio (High School, ages 14 to 18): opening 2027.

Character is the curriculum. Heroes write and sign their own Contract of Promises, govern their studio through Town Hall, earn Badges for real mastery and present their work to the community at public Exhibitions. Heroes also launch real businesses at our annual Children's Business Fair.

Acton St. George belongs to the global Acton Academy network of more than 300 campuses in 30 countries. It has been voted Best Private School and Best Preschool in Southern Utah three years running, and it is eligible for the Utah Fits All Scholarship.
