Duties

• Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance to promote a high-performing team.
• Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth shift management and efficient workflow.
• Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, purchasing, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
• Implement effective sales strategies and marketing initiatives to boost store traffic and revenue.
• Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
• Assist with scheduling and cash management duties such as cashiering and cash handling.
• Utilize POS systems for transactions, inventory tracking, and sales reporting to support operational efficiency.
• Conduct employee orientation sessions and training programs to develop team skills in retail sales, product knowledge, and customer engagement.
• Maintain organizational standards for pricing, signage, cleanliness, safety protocols, and store presentation.
• Monitor store performance metrics regularly to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience in retail or grocery environments with supervising responsibilities.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, merchandising, POS systems, and retail math.
• Experience with recruiting, interviewing, employee orientation, training & development programs.
• Knowledge of budgeting, sales management, pricing strategies, and marketing techniques.
• Proficiency in cash handling procedures and administrative tasks.
• Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings.
• Organizational skills with a focus on time management and prioritization of tasks.
• Previous assistant manager or shift supervisor experience is preferred; supervisory experience is essential.
