St. George Christmas Downtown

This Christmas season join us for an evening of memories as historical downtown St. George hosts the Christmas Gingerbread House Tour. Get lost in the magic of Christmas with twinkling lights, hot chocolate, holiday music, Santa Claus and more.

The Christmas celebration begins on November 24th with our first annual Gingerbread House Tour. Participating businesses throughout downtown will showcase uniquely crafted gingerbread houses. To find out where each one is located either download a map online at www.mcarthurjewelers.com or pick one up from McArthur Jewelers at 41 North Main Street. After viewing each of the gingerbread houses, cast a vote for your favorite. Ballots will be available at all participating stores. The creator of the top-voted house will win a prize valued at $300. Vote once a day but vote as many times as possible because with each vote you will be entered to win a $50 gift card to one of our downtown businesses.

Christmas is about giving to those we love and to those who need a helping hand. We have partnered with The Children of Hope Academy which helps mentally challenged individuals reach their full potential. We are grateful for this opportunity and we invite you to join us. Each of the gingerbread houses will be auctioned to the highest bidder and every penny of the proceeds will go to The Children of Hope Academy. Each business that donates a gingerbread house will include exciting products and services to be auctioned with their house. McArthur Jewelers will include a diamond necklace valued at $1,100. Everything you see on the house will be included in the auction.

 December 8 – Historic Downtown St. George Christmas Celebration

4:00 to 8:00 pm: Enjoy hot cocoa, Christmas treats, professional carolers and bring the kids to meet Santa. Last chance to vote for your favorite gingerbread house and place a bid in the silent auction! Participating businesses will remain open until 9:00.

8:00 pm at McArthur Jewelers: The top three winning gingerbread houses will be announced. Silent auction winners will be announced and the recipient of the $50 gift certificate will be drawn.

9:00 pm: Businesses who have remained open late for the evening will close.
