Rod and Justine Peterson Gallery Show
Rod and Justine Peterson are figurative artists. They met at BYU-Idaho and were married in 2010. Working in distinct mediums, Rod primarily pastels and oil, Justine watercolor and charcoal, they constantly work to improve each other's artistic eye. Rod's love for art began early. His drive has always been fueled by dedication and hardwork. Using this for motivation he paints in the hope that he will be able to capture a moment that can inspire. Rod first studied art at Dixie State with Del Parson and then finished his degree at BYU-Idaho in Art Education. The other passion in his life is teaching and as Diamond Ranch Academy's Art Director he cultivates student?s artistic abilities by giving them the confidence to work hard, compete, and learn new skills. Justine also began to draw at a young age. Her love for watercolor would come later but it lends itself to the emotional process that she feels art is. She also graduated from BYU-Idaho in Art and English Education, so when she is not painting she teaches art in a new venue, online, with Utah Online High School. Rod and Justine currently reside in Southern Utah with the best part of their lives, their children, Van Gogh and Rembrandt.
