Professional Women's Inspiration Luncheon featuring Culinary Crafts CEO
Join us for our “Professional Women’s Quarterly Inspiration Luncheon” featuring Mary Crafts with Culinary Crafts. Her presentation is entitled "Writing my life story...one day at a time."
Mary Crafts-Homer is President and CEO of Culinary Crafts, Utah’s largest off-premise caterer and 12-time “Best of State” winner for catering. In 2014, Culinary Crafts celebrated their 30th anniversary, and opened their new 19,000 square foot headquarters in Pleasant Grove. In addition to producing 850 events a year, Culinary Crafts creates one night only Pop-up Restaurants and owns a venue in Downtown Salt Lake City, The Tasting Room.
Mary’s passion for cooking extends far beyond her work day. She writes a restaurant review column for Utah Valley Magazine and participates in “Culinary Journeys” every year, both as a participant and as a leader. Mary leads groups of caterers from around the country on “Culinary tours of Utah” (a 5-day adventure featuring Utah’s food artisans and top restaurants). In recent years Mary has made several culinary journeys of her own, including 3 trips to Italy and a week long a tour of New England. Mary has also spent time in Vancouver, Costa Rica, New York City, Sedona, Portland, San Diego and has cruised down the Mississippi River, all to learn and experience, first hand, what’s new and inspiring on the world wide culinary scene.
Amazingly, Mary still finds time for scenic motorcycle rides with her husband Rick, is an expert skeet shooter, an avid hiker, and has recently added martial arts to her fitness routine. And, in case all that isn’t enough….
Mary has many personal achievements that reflect her lifelong commitment to excellence, integrity and ingenuity. To name a few: Mary is a recipient of Utah Valley University’s Kirk Englehardt Ethics Award, was named one of Utah’s “10 Coolest Entrepreneurs” by Business Q Magazine and serves on the Board of Visit Salt Lake (Utah’s tourism and convention organization). She also volunteers for dozens of other non-profit and professional organizations locally and nationally. At the end of her long day, Mary enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 children (all of whom work with her at Culinary Crafts), and, her 7 grandchildren. Dinner is absolutely ready!
