Professional Women's Inspiration Luncheon "Best Year Yet" featuring Joel Deceuster
Joel Deceuster is a 1976 graduate of Brigham Young University. He launched his high-tech marketing career during the birth of the microprocessor revolution in the heart of the Silicon Valley. As a marketing executive he worked with many of the world's leading technology brands. In 1997 he and his partners became internet pioneers by launching TechRepublic.com and sold it three years later for 93 million dollars. After a yearlong sabbatical in 2001 Joel established Joel Deceuster & Associates in San Jose, CA where he consulted with small technology startups and other Silicon Valley businesses to focus and guide their future growth. At his core Joel is a marketing strategist whose goal is to align executive leaders and their teams to solve their biggest marketing problems.
In 2012, Joel retired with his wife Madeline to St George, Utah. They have six children and 18 grandchildren. Today he is the Major Gifts Officer for the Intermountain Foundation at Dixie Regional Medical Center where he helps raise millions of dollars to fund the 300 million dollar expansion for the hospital's River Road Campus.
Joel has a passion for growing roses and is a Rosarian with the American Rose Society. The gardens surrounding his St George home have over 170 rose bushes of all varieties. He sees his garden as a gift to the community and teaches a class at DSU Continuing Education on, “How to Grow Roses in Southern Utah.”
BEST YEAR YET is one of his most powerful programs for achieving massive personal and organizational change. For Joel, it's all about unleashing the potential of others so they can build a bigger and better future for themselves and their ventures. He loves to facilitate workshops and engage his students in dynamic opportunities with others.
