Pendle's Baskets and Gifts Ribbon Cutting

This Ribbon Cutting marks the one year anniversary of Pendle's Baskets & Gifts. Last fall, Sid and Chris Pendle moved to St. George from Riverton WY to "retire". Their plan was to open a business, which originally was going to be a commercial daycare. Then, on one of the long road-trips between Wyoming and St. George, the gift basket idea was born.

This is not their first rodeo in business. Throughout their 39 years of marriage, they have had a daycare, custom cabinet shop, and a custom window treatment workroom for both wholesale and retail clientele.

Chris is a shop-a-holic, so she knew what she wanted to create in a gift shop. Fun, affordable, and uncommon are the core characteristics of Pendle's. A "different breed of cat" is what she likes to call her baskets. In this first year, people who visit the store have used just those words to describe their experience. "You have such a fun store" they all seem to say. Chris enjoys listening to the shoppers giggle and make comments as they shop. They are enjoying themselves.
