Mana Recognition Awards Dinner
Save the date for the 1st Annual Mana Recognition Awards and Dinner held on Wednesday, April 15. The Southern Utah Pacific Islander Coalition (SUPIC) will recognize, honor and celebrate those Pacific Islanders in our community who have made a difference.
Southern Utah Pacific Islander will be recognized in the following categories:
*Law Enforcement--Ben Tufuga, St. George Police Department
*Business--April Keil, Siva Pasefika
*Education/Educator--Susan Lafaele, Desert Hills High School
*Healthcare--Clifford Tapusoa
*Volunteer--Tia Stokes, Kalamity Dance
*Sports & Achievement--Michael Puriri, Snow Canyon High Rugby
*Art/Music/Entertainment
*Kapuna Legacy--Anela Kalaiwa'a
*Hospitality--Herb Basso, Ka'ili's Restaurant
*Friends of Polynesia--Jerry Seely
The mission of the Southern Utah Pacific Islander Coalition is to advocate for, and empower all Pacific Islanders through programs and referrals that promote health, youth development, education and artistic, ethnic and cultural preservation.
