Lunch with President and Founder of Fabulous Freddy's

Lunch presenter, Fabulous Freddy Smith was born in 1972 and raised in Salt Lake City. He is the grandson of Dee Smith founder of the Smith Food King, later to be known as Smith's Food and Drug. His family owned the Smith's Food and Drug all of his childhood. He found himself with a job inside the Smith's starting at age 12 giving him an inside knowledge of the inner workings of the grocery, marketing and the retail business at an early age.

Freddy Smith married his wife Mynda in 1995. In 1997 following the sale of Smith's Food and Drug, Freddy Smith moved to Las Vegas. He visited another car wash in town and his experience was just terrible. Right then and there he knew his next venture was to open his own business and call in Fabulous Freddy's Car Wash. How did Freddy come up with the name Fabulous Freddy's? Well as a child all of his cousins called him Fabulous Freddy. It was his nickname and the name has stuck! In December of 1998 his dream came true when the doors opened on the first Fabulous Freddy's at Ft. Apache and Charleston.

He opened Fabulous Freddy's Car Wash knowing he could provide a fabulous experience to his employees and customers. Over the next ten years he would open additional stores across Las Vegas and Utah.

Freddy has three beautiful daughters. He enjoys golf, traveling, swimming and watching sports. He loves French fries and early morning. He is a loyal Seattle Seahawks, NY Yankees and UNLV fan!
