Kayenta Co. Presents “The Taming of the Shrew” with Just 4 Actors
Theatre veterans Richard Hill, Jan Broberg, and Chris Whiteside have partnered to form Kayenta Company, whose purpose is to enhance an already vibrant arts scene in southern Utah by putting on Broadway-caliber theatre at the beautiful new Center for the Arts at Kayenta. Broberg is the Center's Executive Director; Hill teaches theatre at Hurricane High School and co-helms Hill Trotter Productions; and Whiteside, the Center’s production coordinator, recently produced and starred in "Hank Williams: Lost Highway."
In “The Taming of the Shrew,” wealthy man Petruchio comes to Padua, Italy, in search of a woman to woo and wed. He meets the violent, insulting Katerina and pledges himself to her, making her his wife despite her protestations. Presented by Kayenta Company, starring Richard Hill, Brandon Miller, Joseph Carlisle, and Christa Gross, who will breathlessly play all 28 parts. Tickets are $25.
