Terri L. Kane, Dixie Regional Medical Center's Administrator/CEO, will be our keynote speaker for this luncheon.
Proceeds from this year’s event are targeted to Dixie Regional’s key initiatives to elevate our trauma center designation from the current level three to level two. Advancements in emergency services will be a critical support to Dixie Regional’s launch of Neurosciences that will bring together clinicians and specialists to provide integrated treatment for more than 600 neurological diseases and conditions. Neurosciences promises to foster collaborative and team-based approaches to clinical problems; and focus on patient outcomes and physician relationships.
As with cardiovascular surgery, neurosurgery in St. George will be advanced in stages. With the arrival of our first neurosurgeon, Dr. Chad Cole, patients diagnosed with a spine tumor or a primary or metastatic brain tumor or cancer of the brain are able to stay in St. George (rather than having to travel hundreds of miles) to have tumors removed surgically, and/or receive sophisticated radiation therapies. In the summer of 2013, with the arrival Dr. Benjamin Fox, surgery for head trauma and neurovascular conditions such as stroke or brain aneurysms will be added. As always – the time saved treating locally will mean lives saved.
The Jubilee of Trees is the largest showcase of custom designed Christmas trees and wreaths between Salt Lake and Las Vegas. For the greater Washington County area, the Jubilee of trees has become a tradition attracting friends and neighbors to gather and welcome the holiday season together. Volunteer driven - it is a showcase of spectacular, custom designed full size Christmas trees, mini and table-top trees, holiday wreaths, gingerbread houses and seasonal decor. The distinction of southern Utah talent embraces visitors with its dynamic celebratory spirit that will appeal to all ages.
In addition to the gifts of glad tiding, the Jubilee has raised millions of dollars to strengthen our not-for-profit hospital. In turn, Dixie Regional Medical Center supports the community with excellent medical services and care that most area our size only dream about. The Jubilee of Trees is a tremendous win/win created by and for the people of Southern Utah.
