DSC Symphony Orchestra Christmas Concert
The Dixie State College Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Paul Abegg, will put a bow on the College’s 2012 Holiday Concert season with its annual Christmas Concert.
The DSC Symphony Orchestra will perform a number of holiday classics, including such favorites as “Sleigh Ride,” “O Holy Night,” Mannheim Steamroller’s “Silent Night,” and music from the film “The Polar Express,” among many other popular carols. In addition, in what has become a Christmas tradition at DSC, the evening will be highlighted by a performance of Bill Holcombe’s arrangement of “T’was the Night Before Christmas,” featuring Dixie State First Lady Margaret D. Nadauld as narrator.
The DSC Symphony Orchestra will perform twice this semester, including a pair of concerts during the 2013 spring semester. The Orchestra will perform its annual winter concert on Saturday, Feb. 23, and will close the season with its spring concert on Saturday, April 20. The Orchestra will also perform during Dixie State’s Centennial Commencement Ceremonies slated for Friday, May 3, 2013.
