Downtown Farmers Market at Ancestor Square
The Downtown Farmers Market at Ancestor Square is a free event, held every Saturday, from 8am to 12 noon in the courtyard at Ancestor Square, located at St. George Blvd. and Main Street in Historic Downtown St. George. This week we are supporting Eat Local Week in Utah, (www.eatlocalweek.org) and will be holding a cooking demonstration by Red Acre Farm, with locally grown food. Brittany Adams , CHES, BSN, CHHC with Salvita Health, will be doing a quick talk on nutrition – “You Are What You Eat” - Nutrition 101. Demonstrations begin at 10:00 at the Farmers Market.
Downtown Farmers Market features a variety of vendors from all over Washington County and Iron County, selling seasonal produce such as organic fruits and vegetables, cheeses such as goat, feta, gouda and cheddar, free range organic eggs, local honey, granola, cut flowers, herbs, fabric goods, soaps & lotions, jewelry, woodwork, iced coffee, pastries and more. Anything and everything homegrown, homemade and/or locally produced. In addition to more than twenty five vendors selling their goods we also feature local musicians playing on center stage, this week is Stillhouse Road playing from 9:30am to 12 Noon. The center lawn will be open to the public to enjoy the music and the beautiful Southern Utah mornings.
