Dixie State College’s weekly “Dixie Forum: A Window on the World” convocation series concludes its 2012 fall semester slate with the final installment of “Great Faiths” discussions on Tuesday, Nov. 20th, featuring a presentation on Islam by Dr. Aslam Abdullah.
Dr. Abdullah currently serves as director of the Islamic Society of Nevada, and also edits the largest Muslim weekly in English published out of Detroit, Mich., The Muslim Observer. He has authored 17 books on issues related with Islam, interfaith dialogue and human rights. Dr. Abdullah has taught Islam at various universities and colleges around the world including the United States, and authors an online blog on contemporary Islamic issues at aslamabdullah.blogspot.com.
The Dixie Forum series will return to its regular weekly schedule for the 2013 spring semester beginning in January.
