Dixie State University’s weekly “Dixie Forum: A Window on the World” forum continues with a look inside the life of an FBI agent, as told by Dr. Bill Mathews, former agent and current director of DSU’s Southwest Regional Computer Crimes Institute (SWCCI).
Mathews retired from the FBI after 25 years of service in 2010, and accepted the director position of DSU’s SWCCI. While with the FBI, Matthews developed an interest in digital forensics, became CART certified and assisted in the creation of the Regional Computer Forensics Lab (RCFL) in Salt Lake City. Matthews has had an interesting and diverse career in investigations ranging from working undercover with the LCN in Las Vegas, to the conducting of digital triage in Iraq on the Saddam Hussein seizures.
The weekly Dixie Forum series will continue its 2013 Fall Semester slate on Tuesday, October 1, featuring a special presentation on the art and tradition of Chinese Calligraphy with Mr. Cao Shanhua and Professor Jiangwei Li of the DSU branch of the University of Utah Confucius Institute.
