Dixie Escalante Electric Kite Festival

Utah’s largest Kite Festival, the Dixie Escalante Electric Kite Festival, will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011, at the SunRiver St. George Golf Course from 10:00 am till 9:00 pm.  This Festival is to reward those children and their families who have earnestly made an effort to read and encourage reading.  Those students who have achieved the specified skill level become eligible to win a book or a kite.  The Washington County School Foundation is the designated recipient of any proceeds from the Festival.  Entertainment will be continuous throughout the Festival and if you get hungry while watching the kites fly don’t worry, several concessionaires will be available at the Festival to satisfy your hunger and quench your thirst.  The Kite Festival is affordable, where many of the events at the Festival are free including parking, admission, some children games, continuous entertainment, plus, a concert and fireworks to end the Festival.  Come . . .bring a chair or blanket . . .sunshade and the entire family to participate. . .and enjoy the day at the Dixie Escalante Electric Kite Festival.  For more information, www.dixiekitefestival.com  or contact Stella Iverson at (435) 680-3298.
