100 Years of History – Trucking in Southern Utah
Join us for an entertaining look back at the history of the trucking industry in Southern Utah. This presentation is full of pictures and stories about how this important industry developed in our area and has become a hub for the trucking industry. Parke Cox Trucking has been in business for over 70 years and the Cox roots go back to the beginning of St. George.
Don Cox is a native of St. George. He and his wife Laurie have 3 beautiful daughters and 7 grandchildren. Don attended Dixie College and then graduated from the University of Utah in business and marketing. He is past president of the Utah Trucking Association and currently on their Board of Directors. Served as State VP of the American Trucking Association. Don currently serves as a board member of the St. George Chamber of Commerce. Don and his brother Dave bought Parke Cox Trucking from their parents in 1996 and have built up the company corporation currently employing over 125 people.
