Chamber Luncheon featuring Tuacahn CEO Kevin Smith
Kevin Smith is the CEO/Executive Producer of Tuacahn Center for the Arts. He has been with Tuacahn for more than twelve years in various capacities; marketing associate, company manager, production manager, development associate, producer, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
He received his undergraduate from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in Sociology and minor in Business Management, and received a Master of Education degree from Southern Utah University. Kevin has produced or co-produced more than 35 musicals at Tuacahn, and oversees all facets of Tuacahn operations and programs.
Smith was instrumental in the creation of Utah’s first public charter high school -Tuacahn High School for the Performing Arts, which opened its doors in 1999. Smith served for two years on the Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau Marketing Advisory Committee, and served on the Utah Arts Council Multidisciplinary Panel and on the National Endowment for the Arts Learning in the Arts Multidisciplinary Panel. He has served as a board member of the Utah Public Charter School Association, the Ivins Tourism Council board and the Ivins Economic Development Committee.
He will be speaking about Tuacahn's future--including their expansion project, current productions, and give attendees insight into his management style.
