Chamber Luncheon featuring InfoWest Founder and Vice President Randy Cosby

Join the Chamber in our CEO/Manager luncheon as we feature Infowest Founder and Vice-President Randy Cosby.  A southern Utah native, he moved here at age 16 from Southern California.  He is a Pine View High School and Dixie State College school of Business graduate.  He has served two year terms as both Chairman and Vice Chairman for Dixie Care and Share, on the board of trustees for St. George Area Chamber of Commerce and a number of other local organizations.

He has received the Utah Business 40 under 40 award in 2005, Southern Utah Entrepreneur of the Year with his business partner Kelly Nyberg in 2006, and is a Leadership Dixie Graduate.

Randy launched his first business in 1987,  SoundFX Mobile Dance Productions out of the historic Cotton Mill in Washington.  His first venture into "online" service was with his public Bulletin Board System (BBS) in 1984 which he ran out of a spare bedroom on his family's second phone line.  Has been involved with computers and telecommunications ever since.

Randy currently serves as Vice President and the largest shareholder in InfoWest, the area's first internet service provider.  He helped get InfoWest off the ground in 1994 as its first tech support engineer.  He has helped develop, launch and market numerous commercial web sites such as 32bit.com, SouthernUtah.com, DevShed.com, as well as InfoWest's DSL, wireless internet, voice over IP and many other Internet services.  He is responsible for overseeing much of the financial and day-to-day operations at InfoWest and his office is in a constant state of disarray as he researches, experiments with and builds new technologies at InfoWest.  

InfoWest has provided high quality Internet services to the community since 1994. As one of the first Internet providers in Utah, InfoWest has always been on the cutting edge of Internet technologies. InfoWest was the first provider in Southern Utah to offer 56K Dialup services, the first to offer DSL in Southern Utah and the first to bring fiber-optic services to businesses. InfoWest is now providing High Speed DSL, Wireless and Fiber-Optic Broadband services to homes and businesses.
