Chamber Inspiration Luncheon featuring Janice Brooks
Janice Brooks is a public affairs consultant, journalist, professional speaker, actor, storyteller and poet. Her company, Jan Brooks Synergies, offers strategic communications, public affairs, corporate social responsibility (CSR) analysis, crisis management, constituency & community advocacy, organizational development training and business diplomacy consultation services.
For over a decade, Brooks was a society columnist penning “The Social Circle” for St. George Magazine and currently publishes articles in numerous regional publications. She is the creator and curator of “The Literary Café Utah,” an informal community literature and musical gathering salon and she is the founder and convener of “Seeds of Synergy,” a nonpartisan and nonsectarian community conversation series.
Brooks is known for her keen cultural, political, and social commentary. She is a Social Entrepreneur with a motivating passion for creating and supporting transformational experiences that heighten and enliven the artistic, creative, cultural and literary arts.
Brooks was appointed and served six years (two as Vice-Chairman) for the Clark County Housing Authority. She has served as Chairman of the Commissioners Committee for the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. For her dedication and service to the Las Vegas community “Janice Brooks Bay” a 100-unit affordable housing development was named in her honor.
