Chamber Connect featuring UDOT
Dixie Division Program Engineer with UDOT, Dana Meier, will address the Chamber on both immediate and longer term projects in St. George and how transportation can affect business opportunity.
Dana graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Upon graduation he began working for Karren & Associates, a structural engineering firm in Salt Lake City.
In 1987 Dana started his UDOT career in the Region 2 construction division in the Salt Lake Valley. He was soon promoted to be the Maintenance Engineer in Region 2 and then the Cedar District Engineer in Region 4.
Dana owned and operated his own structural engineering firm for 13 years. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
Dana is currently assigned as the Program Engineer for the Dixie Team leading many of the larger accelerated delivery programs for Washington County, including several projects on the Southern Parkway.
Dana and his wife, Vicki, live in Cedar City, Utah and they have 4 children and 7 grandchildren.
