BLOCK KIDS BUILDING COMPETITION
With up to 70 kids competing at this year’s event, we need all the help we can get to make it the best ever.
Sponsoring this event:
Is an investment in the future of construction
Symbolizes a commitment to letting kid’s creativity grow and encourages them to dream big. Let them know you believe in the next generation of big thinkers and go-getters.
This is an affordable way to promote your business and provides great exposure in the community.
Inviting you to participate as a sponsor in the 3rd Annual Block Kids Building Competition to be held on Friday, February 28th at the beautiful Career Tech High School in St George.
If you’re unable to sponsor the event, we are also looking for Judges and Volunteers to help us out on competition day.
We anticipate up to 70 children competing. During the Judging portion, the Career Tech High School folks will lead adults on a tour of the school, while children will have a variety of construction-related activities to keep them busy.
Our wonderful partners for this event are the National Association of Women in Construction, Washington County School District, and Career Tech High School.
We look forward to having you help us encourage interest in a Career in Construction!
Please call or email with any questions or concerns.
NOTE: The Block Kids Building Program is a national building competition which introduces children K-5th grades to construction careers. Participants are asked to create something construction-related without adult help or guidance using provided small interlocking blocks and a few building materials within a 40-minute timed period. A qualified project is one that is construction-related. Each student will then meet with a judge who will rate the project and ask the student a series of questions about their structure. Every participant will receive a hard hat, construction vest, and more! 1st – 5th places will be awarded and the 1st place child will advance to the National Competition automatically.
