Join Milt Thompson with Dixie Four Wheel Drive to learn about some of the most spectacular backcountry areas to explore in southern Utah and northern Arizona. The lectures provide unique opportunities for members of the public to learn more about the area’s natural resources and public lands. Speakers include geologists, range specialists, biologists, archaeologists, rangers and other specialists who delve more deeply into subjects tied to the Arizona Strip and surrounding public lands. The lectures bring the resources and public lands issues to the community’s doorstep, benefiting those who want to learn more before venturing out or wish to enjoy an armchair tour of some of the region’s remote and rugged landscapes. The lecture series is sponsored by the Dixie/Arizona Strip Interpretive Association, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service and U.S. Forest Service.
