DESCRIPTION:In September\, the first New Horizons Band and Orchestra?Zion Music Ensembles?was launched for adults in the St. George Area. Members currently receive instruction and a chance to play instruments\, such as violin or clarinet. This is an innovative program designed to give adults the chance they missed in youth to develop their musical skills. The very special New Horizons groups are made up exclusively of adults (ages 40 to 85+)\, many of whom\, up until recently\, had never even picked up a musical instrument. Zion Music Ensembles is sponsored by The Difiore Center\, Westside Baptist Church\, Dixie State University\, The Music Store\, and St. George Arts Commission.
