They are proud to announce auditions for their premier show. Auditions for The Pirates of Penzance will be held on Tuesday\, November 26th from 6:00 pm-10:00 pm. Interested performers may drop in with no appointment. The auditions will be held at the Washington City Community Center Reception Hall. Participants should come prepared with two contrasting songs\, 16-24 measures only\, and a 30-60 second serious monologue. An accompanist will be provided and headshots and resumes are welcome. WCT is looking for about 50 performers ranging in age from 13-90. All skill levels are welcome. They are also looking for people who want to assist with set\, prop\, costume\, publicity\, and ushering crews. CALL 307-871-3146 with questions or for an alternate audition time. Washington Community Theatre is a new organization formed by Better World Entertainment\, LLC which is owned by Professor Jamie Young. Jamie recently left a 19 year career as a professor of musical theatre. For the last 12 years he was the head of the Theatre Department at Western Wyoming College. Jamie will be directing and choreographing this production of The Pirates of Penzance! Washington Community Theatre will perform at a new playhouse in Cottontown Village called Brigham's Playhouse\, at 25 North 300 West in Washington City.
