DESCRIPTION:Mayor John Grow will lead Dixie Regional Medical Center's second Walk Washington County event in Virgin. Walk Washington County is an ongoing commemoration of 100 years of hospital care in St. George. Attendees explore the county while improving their health. Walks vary in length and are easy to moderate in difficulty.\n\nOn March 16\, Mayor Pat Cluff will lead the Springdale walk. This walk kicks off the Springdale St. Patrick's Day festivities at 11 a.m. at the Majestic View Lodge\, 2400 Zion Park Blvd.\n\n"We were really surprised and grateful for the amazing turnout we had at our first Walk Washington County event in St. George\," said Terri Kane\, CEO and Administrator of Dixie Regional. "We hope the community will again join us to celebrate our CareCentennial on Feb. 9 in Virgin\, and Mar. 16 in Springdale."\n\nA representative from the Intermountain LiVe Well Center will be at each walk to motivate and to answer health-related questions along the way. \n\nParticipants age 12 and older will receive a free\, wooden walking stick at their first walk and a medallion representing each city walk in which they participate. Participants who earn all 12 medallions will be eligible for a prize-drawing to win a full medical fitness evaluation including a personal health coach for one month through the Intermountain LiVe Well Center and other prizes.

LOCATION:The Feb. 9 walk will start at the Virgin Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel\, located at 91 South Mill Street. The route is close to a mile in length along the city streets.
