DESCRIPTION:The St. George Contemporary Dancers are coming together again under the direction and organization of Summer Robertson.  Summer returned to her hometown of St. George after dancing and choreographing for ten years on the east coast primarily in New York City. She received a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and a Master's degree from Columbia University in dance education.\n\n\n\nThe St. George Contemporary Dancers are made up of faculty from nearly every dance school in the community including Dixie State College\, Westside Studio and Southwest Dance Theater among others. Three of the dancers received dance degrees from BYU and one from the University of Utah. The dancers each bring a distinctive performance approach and their own composition to the programs.\n\n\n\n"Moving bodies and moving souls is the essence of the St. George Contemporary Dance concert consisting of talented dancers from Southern Utah studios. Talented choreographers will showcase innovative\, creative\, humorous and soul-searching work through some of the best dancers in the state.
