DESCRIPTION:The National Civics Bee  Competition in Washington County\, UT\n\n\n\n\n\nPresented by United We Pledge in partnership with the St. George Area Chamber of Commerce and the US Chamber's Civics Trust.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\nThe 2025 National Civics Bee  Championship will bring finalists from 28 states to U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation headquarters to test their civics knowledge\, skills\, and disposition as they compete for more than $100\,000 in prizes.\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWhat is the Civics Bee?\n\n\n\n\n\nThe National Civics Bee  is an annual competition that inspires young Americans to engage in civics and contribute to their communities. As they compete for a spot in the Championship\, middle schoolers in sixth\, seventh\, and eighth grades from across the country showcase their civics knowledge and skills\, winning prizes and recognition along the way.\n\n \n\nUnited We Pledge is partnering with the St George chamber of Commerce and the National Chamber of Commerce and the National Civic Trust to host the annual nationwide civics competition. The regional competition will be here in St. George\, then the winners will go to the Utah State competition and the winner of the State competition will move on to nationals.\n\nThe National Civics Bee was inaugurated to encourage middle school-aged students to engage in civics and contribute as good citizens to their communities.\n\nThe competition is modeled after traditional spelling and geography bees and will give students the chance to win recognition and earn cash prizes. Competitors will share ideas for improving their communities and show their enthusiasm for civics.\n\n\n\n \n\nWhy Civics?\n\nUnited We Pledge is dedicated to serving youth by providing best in class civics education through our Give Me Liberty initiative. It is thus a natural partnership with the Chambers of Commerce that support the National Civics Bee.\n\nTogether\, we support this challenging event because we all believe that to make our country strong\, we need an informed and contributing citizenry.
