DESCRIPTION:Green Valley Spa and Resort is proud to sponsor "LITERATURE THROUGH THE LENS: Portraits of Women From Exceptional Stories" a free pictorial exhibit and community forum with Dixie State College English student presenters and professors and a community reception.\n\n	The photographic exhibit will be showing in the grand hall at Green Valley Spa and Resort\, November 30\, 2012 through December 2\, 2012 from 9am-6pm daily.\n\n	On Saturday\, December 1\, 2012:\n\n	5:30-6:30pm - Dixie State College students will present poetry\, music\, creative non-fiction\, and critical analyses on topics relating to the photography project.\n\n	6:30-7:15pm - Mixing and Mingling Reception. light refreshment and beverages\, FREE!\n\n	7:30- 8:30pm - A community forum featuring Carole Coombs\, owner of Green Valley Spa\; DSC faculty members Dr. Sue Bennett\, Dr. Randy Jasmine English Department Chair\, and Dr. Ame Comeford\; DSC english students Katie Huett and Jesse Cook and community activist Nicole lee. Each panel member will focus their research and attention on a specific topic related to the project and female characters in literature\, specifically. We'll focus on the importance of strong female role models in literature with different emphases.\n\n	2013 Calendars\, note cards and bookmarks featuring the exhibit portraits will be available for purchase as a benefit fundraiser for the DSC English Students.
