DESCRIPTION:As a trusted statewide partner\, Utah Food Bank is proud to provide food and services to local pantries and other partner organizations that serve a rapidly expanding population in the seven southernmost counties in Utah.\n\n	Since the opening of the Southern Branch in January 2011\, more than 4.5 million pounds of food and goods have been distributed to local pantries. From that total\, 1.8 million pounds of fresh product was donated by local grocers and then distributed to participating pantries through Utah Food Bank's Grocery Rescue program.\n\n	The Southern Branch is operated under the supervision of Utah Food Bank's corporate staff\, headquartered in Salt Lake City. This branch location will expedite distribution and food delivery throughout the state of Utah. Their focus for the past several years has been expanding our distribution network. By doing so\, they are able to better utilize each dollar and food item donated and reach hungry Utah families more efficiently.\nA deciding factor in establishing a branch location came after years of logistical challenges and being faced with rising transportation costs.\n\n	Utah Food Bank is proud to add value to our communities in Southern Utah and fight hunger statewide!\nJoin us for free lunch and networking provided by Utah Food Bank!
