The Eichers "adopted" these communities and formed Heartwalk\, a humanitarian foundation that provides funding and materials for the improvement of agriculture\, farming\, schools and water\, among other resources. Many members of the St. George community are donors to and supporters of the Heartwalk Foundation. The Eichers annually lead a group to Peru to provide humanitarian service\, and will speak to the Colleagues about the Foundation and show pictures of their trips and adventures in that country. \n\n\n\nThe President's Colleagues of Dixie State University\, established more than 20 years ago by former DSU President Dr. Douglas Alder\, is a group of retired professors and other professionals who live mostly in the St. George and Washington County area. Dr. Alder\, who also started an Honors Program at DSU\, organized the Colleagues as a way to increase academic activities on campus.\n\n\n\nThe Colleagues meet together once a month during the academic year to hear presentations from each other and/or invited guests. The next Colleagues meeting is scheduled for Monday\, April 7\, with a presentation entitled "Utah's National Monuments and Presidential Use of the Antiquities Act\," by Colleague and retired Southern Utah University professor Steven H.
