SUMMARY:Dixie State University Mother/Daughter Women's Conference
DESCRIPTION:Dixie State University will host its 38th-Annual Mother-Daughter Weekend and Women's Conference on Saturday\, February 22.  The conference event is open to all DSU female students and their mothers\, and women throughout the community to attend.\n\n	This year's conference keynote address will be delivered by Mia Love\, who is the former mayor of Saratoga Springs\, Utah\, and Republican candidate for Utah's Fourth Congressional District. A graduate of the University of Hartford\, Miss Love served two terms on the Saratoga Springs City Council before becoming mayor in 2010.  \n\n	\n\n	Following a formal welcome by conference host\, reigning Miss Dixie 2013-14 Shaelie Knutson\, the festivities will get underway with an opening keynote presentation by popular bloggers "The Six Sisters." Four breakout sessions will follow beginning 10 a.m.\, featuring a wide range of presenters\, followed by a light lunch in the DSU Red Rock Caf  at 12 noon\, and the annual fashion show sponsored by Dillard's. Knutson\, a senior communication major from Preston\, Idaho\, won a full tuition scholarship at the Miss Dixie Homecoming Queen pageant last fall and will represent Dixie State and compete at the 2014 Miss Utah Pageant next June for a chance to advance to the 2014 Miss America Pageant.
