SUMMARY:Dixie State Athletics Excellence Weekend
DESCRIPTION:The inaugural Athletic Excellence Weekend\, Oct 1-2\, is just a few weeks away. The weekend consists of exciting events that will help support the student-athletes and their programs at Dixie State. \n\nDaniel "Rudy" Ruettiger\, who played college football at Notre Dame and was the inspiration for the 1993 film "Rudy" will be the guest speaker at a dinner held on the Burns Arena floor on October 1. Prior to the dinner a silent auction will be held around the concourse at the Burns. A live auction will be held after dinner and the guest speaker. Patrons  can bid on several items\, including vacations\, art\, literature\, NBA and NCAA weekend getaways and much more.\n\nThe next morning an 18 hole golf tournament will be held at the Ledges complete with breakfast and dinner. The weekend will round out with entrance to the Oct. 2 DSU  football game vs. Western Oregon held later that night at 6:00 pm. All who participate in the weekend will receive a membership for six in the Dixie State Storm Club at the "Eye of The Storm" level ( the highest level). That membership will allow six guests admissions to all home DSU athletic events during the 2015-2016 season as well as other benefits. There are corporate and individual weekend event packages now available for purchase.
