As part of his exploration of diverse cultures\, he has traveled to various countries in Asia\, South America\, Africa and Europe. \n\n \n\n Christensen earned his Ph.D. in English Literature from Marquette University. He has published scholarly articles and poetry in a wide range of journals and anthologies\, and he is the author of the novel Winning (Whiskey Creek Press) and of 'The Portals of Sheol' and Other Poems (White Violet Press). \n\n \n\n DSU's weekly Dixie Forum series concludes its 2013 Fall Semester schedule on Tuesday\, November 19\, with a presentation on the history of the St. George Marathon by local fitness expert Debbie Zockoll\, who has completed all 38 editions of the famed October Washington County road race.
