DESCRIPTION:Dixie State University's weekly "Dixie Forum: A Window on the World" series will host its penultimate forum of the 2013 fall semester on Tuesday\, November 12\, featuring a discussion the relationship between science and poetry by Southern Utah University associate professor of English Dr. Bryce Christensen. \n\n	\n\n	Dr. Christensen's presentation will focus on his current research pertaining to the relationship between science and poetry\, on non-Western literature\, in particular classical Chinese literature\, and utopian literature. As part of his exploration of diverse cultures\, he has traveled to various countries in Asia\, South America\, Africa and Europe. \n\n	\n\n	Christensen earned his Ph.D. in English Literature from Marquette University. He has published scholarly articles and poetry in a wide range of journals and anthologies\, and he is the author of the novel Winning (Whiskey Creek Press) and of 'The Portals of Sheol' and Other Poems (White Violet Press). \n\n	\n\n	DSU's weekly Dixie Forum series concludes its 2013 Fall Semester schedule on Tuesday\, November 19\, with a presentation on the history of the St. George Marathon by local fitness expert Debbie Zockoll\, who has completed all 38 editions of the famed October Washington County road race.
