SUMMARY:Dixie Forum: A Window to the World
DESCRIPTION:Ms. Wayment's topic\, entitled "Biology\, Birds\, Nature and Preservation\," will discuss the natural habitat of raptors and what HawkWatch International's role is in conserving their environment through education\, long-term monitoring and scientific research on these birds as indicators of ecosystem health. Wayment\, who will bring along two birds of prey as part of her presentation\, is a graduate of Utah State University with a Bachelor's degree in Fisheries and Wildlife.\n\n	\n\n	The Dixie Forum is a lecture series designed to introduce Dixie students\, faculty\, and the St. George community to diverse ideas and personalities and to widen their world views. Forum lectures are free and open to the general public for participation. Dixie students can earn one college credit by signing up for HUM 1000\, attending lectures regularly\, carefully considering the ideas expressed\, and writing about the presentations.\n\n	\n\n	The weekly Dixie Forum series will continue its 2014 Spring Semester slate on Tuesday\, Jan. 28\, featuring a presentation on law literacy by Kevin D. Swenson and Nathan Langston\, attorneys with the law firm of Robert J. Debry and Associates.
