"It's exciting and new\; there's such a large variety of things taking place at it."\n\n \n\n American Authors is a Brooklyn-based rock band who was recently chosen as VH1's "You Oughta Know" artist for February. The group has made television appearances on NBC's Today Show\, ABC's Live with Kelly and Michael\, NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno\, VH1 Big Morning Buzz Live\, and CBS's The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson\, in addition to an appearance on the CW's The Carrie Diaries. "Best Day of My Life" is the lead track from American Authors' debut EP on Island Records\, which hit #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. In addition\, "Best Day of My Life" was bolstered by prominent placements in a Lowe's TV ad\, a trailer for the films Delivery Man and The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty\, a Major League Baseball Fan Cave commercial\, and the opening sequence of this year's ESPN World Series Of Poker coverage.
