DESCRIPTION:Join us for this Wednesday's Chamber Training Series as we learn about Business Succession and Estate Planning Overview from Jeff McKenna.\n\n \n\nEventually we will all need estate planning ... Hopefully\, later rather than sooner.  This is a chance to get questions answered and learn about business succession planning\, planning for blended families and planning for young children in mind.\n\n\n\nThis training can be used for CE credit.  Space is limited.\n\n \n\nAbout Jeff McKenna\n\nJeff is a founding member of Barney McKenna & Olmstead\, P.C. He was born in Las Vegas\, Nevada. He obtained an Associates degree from Rick's College where he graduated with high honors and was selected as a speaker at the graduation ceremonies. He received his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he was honored as the American Bank of Commerce Outstanding Student in Economics and graduated with high honors. Jeff obtained his law degree from Brigham Young University where he was awarded a full three year scholarship\, was named an Edwin M. Thomas scholar\, and was a Comment and Casenote Editor for the B.Y.U. Law Review.\n\nJeff is married to Mimi McKenna and the father of two daughters and two sons. He is active in community programs including religious and scouting organizations. Jeff is the past President of the Southern Utah Estate Planning Counsel and instrumental in organizing the Southern Utah Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. He served as the first President of the Southern Utah Chapter of the J. Reuben Clark Law Society. The J. Reuben Clark Law Society is a worldwide network sponsored by Brigham Young University that has as one of its primary purposes the promotion of fairness and virtue founded upon the rule of law. Additionally\, he has served as the President of the Mesquite\, Nevada Exchange Club. The Exchange Club is a national service organization with the primary purpose of bettering communities and the prevention of child abuse. He is currently serving on the Washington County Library Board of Trustees and has participated in the planning and building of several new libraries in Washington County\, Utah.\n\nJeff was an associate attorney with the St. George law firm of Snow\, Nuffer\, Engstrom\, Drake\, Wade and Smart from 1995 until 1999. His primary areas of practice are estate planning\, estate administration\, will contests\, and asset protection. Jeff is one of the few attorneys in the region licensed to practice law in Utah\, Nevada and Arizona.
